Strep Begone!

Strep has made it though my family this holiday season and it really sucks. My wife showed the first signs with a really, really nasty fever and swollen glands; she has strep throat. Tuesday, December 26th we went to the doctor she received antibiotics (previquin??) . The following day, I took my sons to the doctor, one for a follow-up and the other to insure he doesn't have strep. As soon as the doctor walked into the office he looked at my son's face, where saw some blemishes and instantly mentioned strep! I couldn't believe it, didn't even mention it yet and the doctor thinks my son has skin strep (streptococcal bacteria).
