Germ Warfare on the Internet

This is the future of viruses on the Internet in the way that I see it.
Basically it is Microsoft or any other manufacturer with an open exploit in there product to write a virus/worm that will hunt down the machines that are infected, then download and apply the patch required to fix the hole. It could setup on the machine for a short time to copy itself around looking for other vulnerable machines.

Sure this would play havoc with virus companies like Symantec and McAfee, but perhaps some type of key could be included to identify the virus as friendly. Sure this would work until the crackers figured out the key structure.

If users are so naive that they can't keep their machines up to date, or just care to, then the heck with them. This will take care of those types of people so they quit effecting my computers and networks.

There is enough trouble with spam, now worm traffic makes it that much worse.

One battle at a time.
